Weather is king in agriculture and, here in the state of California, the California Citrus Weather Watch program is now running in earnest until March 15. What am I talking about? If you already know about the program, this serves as your reminder as it just got back underway as of November 15. If you are new, here’s what’s happening:

The California Citrus Weather Watch program provided by California Citrus Mutual runs from November 15th until March 15th each year. Weather Watch has been based out of the San Joaquin Valley since its inception. With over 25 weather stations located between Madera and Kern Counties, our Chief Meteorologist Scott Borgioli provides growers with accurate and reliable weather information in a forecast report. It’s a free service for CCM members and includes as many as twice-daily weather reports dependent upon region.

Growers can access these forecasts via the CCM website, audio recording or opt-in to receive the forecasts directly through email or text.
