Agtech companies Semios and AgWorld merged years ago, but the company announced last week that they are re-branding under the name Almanac. CEO Sumer Johal says the move was important to represent the entirety of their offerings to growers.

Johal… “Almanac came together because our company Semios and another one of our companies, Agworld merged and over the last few years we've also acquired other companies and assets. And a lot of our users actually didn't know about some of the other things we do. And we really felt the need to create an identity that showcases our intention. And the way we are approaching agriculture and the role technology can play in advancing wisdom in agriculture.”

Johal said the move was to provide a clear, simple and unified vision for what the company offers and where they’re headed.

Johal… “Almanac are known for sources of information, whether it be the Farmers' Almanac or the Mariner's Almanac or Almanac for a city or country. And it really is a kind of fitting brand for the intention that we have for ourselves.”

The new website for the company behind Semios and AgWorld is now live at almanac.co.
