Creating A Digital Twin of Your Farm - Part One

Around the globe, most people still don’t eat anywhere close to the recommended amounts of fruits and vegetables. Source.ag founder Rien Kamman says this fact is what prompted him and his co-founder to focus their technical knowledge of artificial intelligence on helping farmers.
Kamman… “There are 3.1 billion people that don't have access to sufficient fruit and vegetables. That's just crazy. That's gotta change. To change that we believe you need to help growers. It's not about growing, you know, it's not about starting in another vertical farm, but actually helping those millions of growers worldwide to be successful and to grow more fresh produce so that, that's always been our cornerstone.”
Kamman sees potential in helping farmers create a digital twin of their farms in order to run simulations on growing decisions.
Kamman… “This is our mission to create a virtual reliable copy of the operation and the biology specifically of the crop that the grower is using. We constantly update and maintain that, and if something happens, then our AI simulates different potential strategies for different potential seasons to determine the best course of action.”
Source.ag started working with farmers in Europe and recently expanded globally, including an office in the US.
