CropLife America Works to Provide Ag Producers Tools

“We lobby for funding for the US EPA pesticide program, and I actually had someone asked me well, why why are you lobbying for EPA to receive funds to do their job? And and it's an easy answer. We need EPA to have the funding to do a really good job so that there's confidence in pesticides as they go through a process with EPA to be evaluated for environmental impacts human health impacts, make sure they're safe for the public and of course for the growers who are using them on their farms and with their families right nearby.”
Dunn says the CropLife America not only lobbies hard for funding for the EPA, but for EPA to use some of that funding for research and getting products with new active ingredients to the market.
“The funding supports enough scientists to do that work in a predictable manner. And that way we can tell growers if there's a new tool for the toolbox coming when we think it might be coming.”
