There’s nothing better than a really good dog and a couple of outstanding Georgia canines continued their time in the spotlight last week in Atlanta. From the Georgia Recorder, two of Georgia’s goodest dogs had their day Wednesday in a special ceremony at the Georgia Department of Agriculture headquarters in downtown Atlanta where they were honored for acts of bravery and loyalty.

We’ve talked about these dogs on the air before as they were thrust into the public eye during the American Farm Dog of the year Contest. Skippie, a mixed breed from McDuffie County, actually won this year’s contest. Casper, a Great Pyrenees from Decatur, took home the People’s Choice Pup Award.

To see Skippie and Casper receive their accolades from Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper and get more on each of their stories, check out this article from Ross Williams: https://shorturl.at/lzCE8

We’ll let you know once the nomination window opens up for this year.
