Wine Away Pt 2
With today’s Fruit Grower Report, I’m Bob Larson. 25 years ago, after months of lab work, Staci Wanichek was confident she’d come up with the perfect companion product for her messy, or accident-prone wine loving friends, a stain remover called Wine Away.As a Walla Walla resident, Wanichek says the timing was perfect …
WANICHEK … “When we started the business, the wine community really was just beginning to grow and so I really feel like we sort of grew up alongside with them.”
And since the beginning, Wanichek says the local wine industry has been there for them …
WANICHEK … “It’s just been wonderful. The people in the wine industry have been big cheerleaders and supporters and I can’t imagine being anywhere else than here, growing alongside with them to be part of the Wine Away family.”
One of the things she loves most about it …
WANICHEK … “Having a family-owned business. I started it with my mom, Cheryl who has been retired for many, many years. It’s just having a family-owned business has been wonderful and that my family, they’re my biggest cheerleaders and it’s just been a wonderful journey that I have been able to take with them.”
And that, Wanichek says is what it’s all about …
WANICHEK … “Living here in Walla Walla, being around all the wineries, they’re also part of my Wine Away family and, just honestly, for me, having my family here is probably my biggest thing that I love. Yeah, doing it with them.”
