This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Monday. The Beef market showed signs of life Friday, as Feeders and Live Cattle rallied . Let’s go to Greg Sanders with the USDA to heard the weekly cattle update.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day Up 13 ½, to finish at 6-29 ¼. March Corn was Up 3 ¾, to finish the day at 4-83. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for March were Up 6 ¼, to settle at 6-42 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch, ranging from 6-95 to 7-40. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Feb. were Unch, ranging 6-75 to 7-15. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Feb. were Up 6 ¼, ranging from 6-97 ¾ to 7-12 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Feb. were Up 13 ½, ranging from 8-10 ¾ to 8-25 ¾.

Live Cattle for Feb. were Up $1.42 ½, closing at 169.35. March Feeder Cattle were Up $2.05, to finish the day at 222.17 ½. Jan. Class III milk was Dn $.34, to settle at 15.90.
