Weekly Beef Report Brings Red To Market

This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Frida. Beef across the board find themselves in the red, following a poor weekly export report. Let’s go to Ted Seifried with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day Dn 7, to finish at 5-81. March Corn was Up 4 ¾, to finish the day at 4-93 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for March were Dn 12 ¼, to settle at 6-36.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch, ranging from 7-00 to 7-35. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Jan. were Dn 10 to Unch, ranging 6-80 to 7-25. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Jan. were Dn 12 ¼ to 7 ¼, ranging from 6-76 to 6-96. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Jan. were Dn 7 ½ - 2 ½, ranging from 8-10 ½ to 8-25 ½.

Live Cattle for Feb. were Dn $3.45, closing at 175.32 ½. Jan. Feeder Cattle were Dn $3.40, to finish the day at 227.50. Dec. Class III milk was Dn $.34, to settle at 17.11.
