One frustration farmers have with ag technology is that data isn’t easily utilized across different tools. That frustration is one reason why farmer Jeremy Wilson says he joined AgGateway, a non-profit focused on collaboration between agricultural technology stakeholders.

Wilson… “You know the real thing that brought me to this organization is not only what they were doing in precision ag but all the work they had done in ag retail and streamlining processes. So when I stood with my agronomist and I said I wanted to order hyrbidXYZ, it was an automated process to get that order placed, get that seed brought into that ag retailer, but then more importantly get it delivered to me in a timely fashion.”

The organization not only develops standards and resources made accessible to farmers but also creates an environment where collaboration can thrive among these audiences.

Wilson… “When I hear all the people and I see all the people that’s coming to my farm, whether they’re trying to get me to sign up for a climate product or sustainability, regenerative ag, there’s so much data that pours into that. We have to have complete industry collaboration or this thing’s never going to work. And that’s what AgGatewat does. Let us come together. Let’s standardize some of these core pieces that everybody’s going to use.”
