Export Beef Sales Rebound

This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Friday. Consolidation continues following the bearish “Cattle On Feed Report”, while Export sales rebound from last week. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day Up 11, to finish at 5-79 ½. Dec. Corn was Dn ¾, to finish the day at 4-79 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. were Up 5 ¾, to settle at 6-54 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Dn 5 - Unch, ranging from 6-95 to 7-55. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Dec. were Up 05 - Unch, ranging 6-90 to 7-35. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Dec. were Up 5 ¾, ranging from 6-94 ¾ to 7-04 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Jan. were Up 3, to settle at 8-12 ¾.

Live Cattle for Dec. were Dn $.10, closing at 179.32 ½. Jan. Feeder Cattle were Dn $1.47 ½, to finish the day at 235.07 ½. Nov. Class III milk was Unch, to settle at 17.42.
