This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Cattle funds increased in long contracts following news of the government averting the shutdown. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day Up 23 ¼, to finish at 5-64 ¾. Dec. Corn was Up 12, to finish the day at 4-88 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. were Up 13, to settle at 6-76 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Dn 25-30, ranging from 6-50 to 7-10. Soft White Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Dec. were Up 5 & Dn 45 ranging from 6-65 to 6-85. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Dec. were UP 3-13, ranging from 7-06 ¾ to 7-51 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Dec. were Dn 5 ½ & Up 9 ½, ranging from 7-73 ¾ to 8-13 ¾.

Live Cattle for Dec. were Up $.42 ½, closing at 188.35. Nov. Feeder Cattle were Up $.80, to finish the day at 255.70. Nov. Class III milk was Up $.11, to settle at 17.28.
