Broad Economic Concerns Put Drain On Markets

This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Commodities across the board react to continued inflation issues and broad economic concerns. Let’s go to Ted Seifried with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day Dn 13, to finish at 5-75 ¾. Dec. Corn was Dn 7, to finish the day at 4-75 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. were Dn 18 ½, to settle at 7-10 ½.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Up 10 & Dn 05, ranging from 7-05 to 7-30. Soft White Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Nov. were UNCH- Up 10, ranging from 6-85 to 7-15. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Nov. were Dn 18 ½ -13 ½, ranging from 7-30 ½ to 7-50 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Oct. were Dn 16, to settle at 8-17 ½.

Live Cattle for Dec. were Dn $2.02 ½, closing at 189.50. Nov. Feeder Cattle were Dn $2.87 ½, to finish the day at 262.70. Oct. Class III milk was Dn $.11, to settle at 17.01.
