Grains Feel The Pressure
This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Wednesday. Pressure in the grain market continues, as exports in the Black Sea Region remain a factor. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.
Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day Dn 7 ½, to finish at 5-84. Dec. Corn was Up 4 ¾, to finish the day at 4-76 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. were Dn 4, to settle at 7-31.
Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 6-95 to 7-35. Soft White Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Nov. were UNCH, ranging from 6-85 to 7-05. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Nov. were Dn 4, ranging from 7-51 to 7-66. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Oct. were Up 2 ¼, to settle at 8-29 ¾.
Live Cattle for Dec. were Dn $.52 ½, closing at 190.47 ½. Nov. Feeder Cattle were Dn $.40, to finish the day at 266.02 ½. Sept. Class III milk was Dn $.03, to settle at 18.37.
