Feeder's Inch Toward New High's
This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Tuesday. Feeder Cattle continue to show strength as prices inch toward new highs. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to find out more.Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for July closed the day Dn 25 ¾, to finish at 6-60 ¾. July Corn was Dn 6 ¼, to finish the day at 5-92 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for July were Up 21 ¼, to settle at 8-98 ¼.
Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch – Up 15, ranging from 7-20 to 7-85. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for July were Unch – Up 05, ranging from 7-00 to 7-30. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for July were Up 24 ½ to 21 ¼, ranging from 9-65 ½ to 10-13 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for July were Up 27 ¼, ranging from 9-53 ¼ to 9-73 ¼.
Live Cattle for Aug. was Up $.30, closing at 162.75. Aug. Feeder Cattle were Up $2.07 ½, to finish the day at 231.05. June Class III milk was Dn $.16 to settle at 16.41.
