Oregon Wine Month Pt 1
From the Ag Information Network, I’m Bob Larson with today’s Fruit Grower Report. You can enjoy Oregon wines any day of the year, but May is “Oregon Wine Month,” a very special time to celebrate the wine industry in Oregon. The Oregon Wine Boards’s Director of Marketing, Neil Ferguson says it’s a time when everyone gets a chance to truly appreciate what our wine industry has done …
FERGUSON … “This has been going on for a number of years now and it’s basically a big celebration of Oregon wine bounty and what we like to call the “True Character” of Oregon Wine.”
That, Ferguson says, is for Oregon Wine Month and every month …
FERGUSON … “We’ve been using that for a couple of years now, that “True Character” slogan. It aligns with everything we have going on and all of our messaging to consumers.”
Ferguson says, they have an Oregon Wine Month page on their website … www.oregonwine.org …
FERGUSON … “Beyond that, our website has and extensive events listings. And wineries across the state also set up their own events and parties throughout May to coincide with Wine Month.”
Ferguson says, something for everyone …
FERGUSON … “And there’s some just super cool things happening. Fun stuff, whether you’re a casual wine drinker or you are a bit more of a nerd and kind of want to get deeper into that knowledge. So, our events listing is a great place to find things.”
Tune in tomorrow for more on Oregon Wine Month for all of May.
Ferguson says that website is www.oregonwine.org or you can find them at Oregon Wine Board on social media.
