Feeder Cattle Rally Once Again

This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Friday. Feeder cattle found momentum once again, as traders eagerly await the Cattle On Feed Report coming out later today. Let’s go to Ted Seifreid with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for July closed the day Dn 12 ¾, to finish at 6-80. July Corn was Dn 10 ½, to finish the day at 6-26. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for July were Dn 23, to settle at 8-26 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch – Dn 20, ranging from 7-60 to 8-00. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for June were Unch – Dn 05, ranging from 7-50 to 7-65. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for June were Dn 23, ranging from 9-51 ¾ to 9-71 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were Dn 11 ½, ranging from 9-40 ¼ to 9-50 ¼.

Live Cattle for June was Up $.75, closing at 164.35. Aug. Feeder Cattle were Up $2.75, to finish the day at 229.47 ½. June Class III milk was Up $.13, to settle at 18.01.
