This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Consumer demand has the beef market on it’s heels as prices fell Wednesday. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for July closed the day Dn 16 ¾, to finish at 6-92 ¾. July Corn was Dn 8, to finish the day at 6-36 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for July were Dn 18 ½, to settle at 8-49 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch, ranging from 7-60 to 8-20. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for June were Unch, ranging from 7-50 to 7-70. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for June were Dn 18 ½, ranging from 9-74 ¾ to 9-94 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were Dn 19, ranging from 9-51 ¾ to 9-61 ¾.

Live Cattle for June was Dn $1.60, closing at 163.60. Aug. Feeder Cattle were Up $.70, to finish the day at 226.77 ½. June Class III milk was Up $.01, to settle at 17.88.
