This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. The beef market took advantage of weaker grain prices, as trade concerns with China rise. Let’s go to Ted Seifried with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for May closed the day Dn 6 ½, to finish at 6-75 ½. May Corn was Dn 9 ¼, to finish the day at 6-43 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for May were Up 3, to settle at 8-64 ½.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch – Dn 15, ranging from 7-65 to 7-95. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for May were Dn 5 - Unch, ranging from 7-45 to 7-70. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for June were Dn 1 ¾, ranging from 9-76 to 9-96. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for May were Dn 6 ½, to settle at 9-57.

Live Cattle for June were Up $2.80, closing at 163.10. May Feeder Cattle were Up $3.30, to finish the day at 205.40. May Class III milk was Dn $.11, to settle at 17.95.
