This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Wednesday. Beef production expected to decline during the 2nd QT, uncharacteristic for this time of year. Let’s go to Terry Roggensack with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for May closed the day Up 1 ¾, to finish at 6-99 ¾. May Corn was Dn 1, to finish the day at 6-47 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for May were Up 12 ¼, to settle at 8-72 ½.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Up 15 – 05, ranging from 7-70 to 8-20. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for May were Up 05 – 09, ranging from 7-60 to 7-74. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for May were Up 12 ¼, ranging from 10-12 ¼ to 10-37 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for May were Up 09, ranging from 9-67 ½ to 9-72 ½.

Live Cattle for June were Up $.02 ½, closing at 158.90. May Feeder Cattle were Up $.57 ½, to finish the day at 200.80. April Class III milk was Dn $.24, to settle at 19.52.
