Up Up And Away!

This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Tuesday. Up up and away, the beef rally continues to stay on course taking out new highs once again. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for May closed the day Dn 13 ½, to finish at 6-95 ¼. May Corn was Dn 2 ¾, to finish the day at 6-37. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for May were Dn 18 ½, to settle at 7-97 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch – Dn 05, ranging from 8-10 to 8-60. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for May were Unch, ranging from 8-14 to 8-25. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for May were Dn 18 ½, ranging from 9-37 ¾ to 9-62 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for May were Dn 10, ranging from 9-47 ¾ to 9-57 ¾.

Live Cattle for April were Up $.67 ½, closing at 166.10. April Feeder Cattle were Up $2.57 ½, to finish the day at 198.60. March Class III milk was Dn $.03, to settle at 17.78.
