Feeders Rally
This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Beef found some nice momentum yesterday as Feeders gained nearly $4 as markets came to a close. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day Dn 30, to finish at 7-45 ½. March Corn was Dn 16 ¾, to finish the day at 6-53 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for March were Dn 28 ½, to settle at 8-40 ¾.
Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Dn 15, ranging from 8-40 to 8-95. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for March were Dn 24 - Unch, ranging 8-29 to 8-70. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for March were Dn 28 ½, to settle at 9-60 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for March were Dn 15 ¾, to settle at 9-83 ½.
Live Cattle for Feb. were Up $.42 ½, closing at 157.27 ½. March Feeder Cattle were Up $3.45 to finish the day at 188.22 ½. Jan. Class III milk was Dn $.22 to settle at 18.85.
