Weaker Beef Exports Continue

This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Export Beef sales continue to see lower than normal averages, which partially played into yesterday’s pullback. Let’s go to Ted Seifried with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day Up 3, to finish at 8-13 ½. March Corn was Up 7, to finish the day at 6-66 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Mar. were Up 7 ¾, to settle at 9-19 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were UNCH- Dn 30, ranging from 8-85 to 9-60. Soft White Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Jan. were UNCH – DN 07, ranging from 8-80 to 9-18. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Jan. were Up 7 ¾, ranging from 10-39 ¾ to 10-59 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Jan. were Up 2 - 22, ranging from 10-32 ¼ to 10-72 ¼.

Live Cattle for Feb. were Dn $1.00, closing at 155.42 ½. Jan. Feeder Cattle were Dn $2.42 ½, to finish the day at 179.25. Jan. Class III milk was Dn $.38, to settle at 20.06.
