Lower Exports Continue To Play Factor In Grain Market

This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Friday. Lower Corn Export sales drew prices lower as they reached lowest export levels since 2012. Let’s go to Ted Siefried with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day Unch, to finish at 8-40 ½. Dec Corn was Up 3 ¼, to finish the day at 6-87 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. were Up 10, to settle at 9-51 ¼.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Dn 35-UNCH, ranging from 8-95 to 9-95. Soft White Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Dec. were Up 02 - UNCH, ranging from 8-90 to 9-35. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Jan. were Up 09, ranging from 10-67 ¾ to 10-87 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Jan. were Up 11, ranging from 10-46 to 10-66.

Live Cattle for Dec. were dn $.22, closing at 151.72 ½. Jan. Feeder Cattle were Up $.65, to finish the day at 180.22 ½. Dec. Class III milk was Up $.18, to settle at 20.16.
