In a couple of weeks leading agrifood investment and innovation platform SVG Ventures will be hosting the THRIVE Global Impact Summit. Founder John Hartnett says the event will focus on soil health, food security, and greenhouse gas emissions.

Hartnett… “It's a Thrive Global Impact Summit and with kind of two parts to the story. We launched a global impact challenge out to entrepreneurs around the world. We launched that in Tel Aviv, in Israel, really trying to reach entrepreneurs right across the world. And, and we've been super impressed with technology companies coming from Tel Aviv. And we did that in partnership with ICL. And we designed this to be really around making an impact in kind of three key areas: soil health and biodiversity, food security, and then how do we reduce/ offset greenhouse gases. These were kind of like the big three themes.”

Hartnett said 10 companies will pitch live in San Jose, California on Thursday, November 17th. These were selected from nearly 500 applicants across 70 countries. Tickets are available for the event at https://thriveagrifood.com/events/global-impact-summit/ which is also presented by BASF, Bayer, Kubota, Driscoll Berries, Alberta Innovates and Dairy Australia.
