This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Tueday. Cattle firmed up yesterday, as traders witnessed a short run up throughout the beef market. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day Dn 9 ½, to finish at 9-12. Dec Corn was Up 3 ½, to finish the day at 6-80 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. were Dn 2 ¾, to settle at 9-88 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch- Dn 05, ranging from 9-50 to 10-05. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Nov. were Dn 08, ranging from 9-32 to 9-55. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Nov. were Dn 2 ¾, ranging from 11-08 ¾ to 11-38 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Nov. were Dn 02, ranging from 10-60 to 10-80.

Live Cattle for Dec. were Up $.97 ½, closing at 148.05. Nov. Feeder Cattle were Up $1.42 ½, to finish the day at 176.05. Nov. Class III milk was Up $.75, to settle at 21.38.
