Hi, my name is Zane Garner, along with my wife, Jacqueline, and my son, Carl own and operate Six Ranch LLC. We're located just north of Moscow on Idlers Rest Road. Here we raise some beef. We've got about 50 head of cows. We raised some quarter horses. We run 15 head of brood mares in a given year. We also run a horse boarding and training operation. And we just recently picked up a little jersey cow and we're selling some raw milk. So I grew up on a little cow outfit in eastern Oregon, just outside of Baker City. I went to college here at the University of Idaho, graduated from there in 2014. Worked for several different cow/calf operations across the northwest. Prior to moving to Moscow, I was at the Thomas Angus Ranch, where I kind of got a real good feel for the seed stock operation. We moved to Moscow in 2018 when I took a job running the Charlet cows for the University of Idaho, I’m the herdsman there, in addition to running our ranch here. That kind of spurred us to like I said, come back to the Moscow area. From there, we moved to this place in in February of this year. That's what started the horse boarding deal. There was horse boarding operation going on here when we moved in, so we just kind of took that over. Speaker1: This place worked for us. We picked up a lease on it and kind of gave us a landing pad. Before that, we were always living in employee provided housing for whatever job, whatever ranch I was working for.
