This past week we’ve reported on Nitricity, which is a company that has developed a reactor to generate nitrogen fertilizer using just air, water, and renewable energy. CEO Nico Pinkowski says the next step is to find farmers collaborators, and that there are certain types of farmers that are the ideal fit for this technology.

Pinkowski… “The perfect fit number one are folks who are currently using nitrates and love them. Things like calcium nitrate, potassium nitrate; or folks who, who have a pH challenge: who have alkaline or hard water or soils. What nitric makes from air and water is a good fit. So we're looking for farmers who are interested in this product, interested in sustainability and clean energy. And we wanna hear from you, and we wanna hear from what the retailers you're buying from today, the price points, the market constraints, your soil pH, your blend of macro and micronutrient. We wanna learn what is needed and what farmers want. And then we're gonna take that and take a map of the United States and find a good overlap between the farmer demand and requests and low cost intermittent power. And we have a lot of renewable energy companies interested and, we wanna take the farmer interest, put down some solar or wind somewhere where it can be very cheap and supply.”
