This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Cattle were mixed yesterday, as crude oil hit a wall and with some commodities following suit. Let’s go to Joe Vaclavik’s podcast “Grain Markets and Other Stuff” for more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day Up 11 ¼, to finish at 8-31 ½. Dec Corn was Dn 6 ¾, to finish the day at 6-70 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. were UP 14 ¾, to settle at 9-12 ½.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 8-50 to 9-40. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Oct. were Unch- Up 05, ranging from 8-52 to 9-07. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Oct. were Up14 ¾, ranging from 10-22 ½ to 10-37 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Nov. were Up 09, to settle at 10-09 ½.

Live Cattle for Oct. were Dn $1.25, closing at 142.57 ½. Oct. Feeder Cattle were Up $.20, to finish the day at 183.47 ½. Oct. Class III milk was Dn $.21, to settle at 19.89.
