What I've seen and what leaders like us. Forest Service Chief Randy Moore tell me is that our investments in reforestation rebuild our force to ensure continued carbon, water and wood product benefits. Speaker2: Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack last month speaking about the importance of USDA and U.S. Forest Service reforestation efforts. The latest announcement of such took place this week at Boise, Idaho, with new investments designed to address a backlog of reforestation in our national forest. The planned planting of more than 1 billion trees over the next decade is designed to reduce a reforestation backlog of 4 billion acres. The investments for 2022 efforts have reached over $100 Billion so far. The secretary also announced 30 new agency climate adoption plans, an outline for each USDA agency to incorporate climate change in their operations and decisions to support communities, agriculture and forestry across the country.
