This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. The Cattle Market took advantage of some weaker feed prices yesterday. Let’s go to Virginia MgCathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day Dn 10 ½, to finish at 7-83 ½. Dec Corn was Up 2, to finish the day at 5-96 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept were Dn 6 ¾, to settle at 8-35 ½.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 9-00 to 9-75. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Sept. were Dn 10 Unch, ranging from 8-80 to 9-25. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Sept. were Dn 6 ¾, ranging from 9-45 ½ to 9-55 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Oct. were Up 2 ¼, ranging from 9-69 to 9-79.

Live Cattle for Oct. were Up $1.82 ½, closing at 143.95. Sept. Feeder Cattle were Up $1.45 to finish the day at 182.90. Sept. Class III milk was Dn $.50 to settle at 19.90.
