WSTFA Golf Tournament Pt 2
From the Ag Information Network, I’m Bob Larson with today’s Fruit Grower Report. Polish up the golf clubs, the 29th Annual Washington State Tree Fruit Association Golf Tournament in East Wenatchee is fast approaching.WSTFA’s Tim Kovis says the tournament will be held August 30th at the Highlander Golf Course …
KOVIS … “So, we open up check-in at 8:00am. Parker, Smith and Feek, a insurance company that services our industry, sponsors a breakfast burrito for players. And then we go ahead and a shotgun start at 9:30am. And then, we finish the day with a Bar-B-Q, and awards ceremony and a raffle that’s sponsored by Wilbur Ellis.”
The tournament, Kovis says should wrap up by mid-afternoon …
KOVIS … “Usually 3 or 4 o’clock is when we’re about done with our event and it gives folks the ability to get home in a decent hour to have time with their families or other plans that they might have.”
And, Kovis says there’s still plenty of space …
KOVIS … “Correct, we still have a few teams still unclaimed and sponsorships are always available. And folks can visit our website, www.wstfa.org. Click the events tag at the top of the screen and you’ll see our golf tournament page.”
Go to the WSTFA website at www.wstfa.org and click on the events tag at the top of the page for more information and to register.
