WSTFA Golf Tournament Pt 1
From the Ag Information Network, I’m Bob Larson with today’s Fruit Grower Report. It’s summertime, it’s warm and, for you golfers out there, it’s time for the Washington State Tree Fruit Association’s Annual Golf Tournament.
WSTFA Communications and Events Director, Tim Kovis says the tournament is fast approaching, coming up in a little over a month from now …
KOVIS … “So, we’ll hold our 29th annual golf tournament up in East Wenatchee at the Highlander Golf Tournament on Tuesday, August the 30th.”
The funds raised by the tournament, Kovis says are for the future of the industry …
KOVIS … “This golf tournament raises money to support some scholarships at WAEF and some other groups that are in the names of tree fruit leaders.”
And as always, Kovis says they’re expecting another great turnout for players and sponsors again this year …
KOVIS … “Yeah, you know, we have our traditional sponsors and teams that play, but we’re always excited when we have new folks that want to get involved through sponsorships and having a presence at the tournament. So it’s always a fun group and some new faces every year along with old friends that have been supporting us many, many years.”
