This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Wednesday. The Beef Market hit the ground running yesterday, as demand picked up with tight supply. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day Dn ½, to finish at 8-12 ¼. Dec. Corn was Dn 15 ½, to finish the day at 5-95 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were Dn 4 ¾, to settle at 8-69 ¼.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Up 10, ranging from 9-20 to 9-70. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Sept. were Unch, ranging 9-00 to 9-23. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Sept. were Up ¼, ranging from 9-69 ¼ to 9-89 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Sept. were Dn 9 ¼ and Up 5 ¾, ranging from 9-89 ¾ to 10-24 ¾.

Live Cattle for Oct. were Up $.50, closing at 141.10. Aug Feeder Cattle were Up $2.07 ½ to finish the day at 178.75. Aug Class III milk was Up $.17 to settle at 20.46.
