This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Tuesday. Corn continues to trend upward as another heatwave rolls in creating more volatility in the market. Here’s Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to explain more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day Up 36, to finish at 8-12 ¾. Dec Corn was Up 7, to finish the day at 6-10 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept were 36 ½, to settle at 8-74.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 9-10 to 9-60. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Sept were Unch, ranging from 9-00 to 9-10. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Sept. were Up 36 ¼, ranging from 9-69 to 9-89. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Sept. were Up 32 ¼, ranging from 9-99 to 10-19.

Live Cattle for Oct were up $1.05, closing at 140.60. Aug Feeder Cattle were up $.32 ½ to finish the day at 176.67 ½. Aug Class III milk was up $.13 to settle at 20.29.
