This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Monday. The beef market saw mixed trading last week, as cattle producers gear up to battle more heat in the coming weeks. Here’s Oliver Sloup with the CME Group to explain more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day Dn 18 ¼, to finish at 7-76 ¾. Dec Corn was Up 2 ¾, to finish the day at 6-03 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept were dn 11 ¼, to settle at 8-37 ½.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 9-10 to 9-60. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Aug were Unch, ranging from 9-00 to 9-10. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Sept. were Dn 11 ¼, ranging from 9-32 ½ to 9-52 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Sept. were Dn 3 ¾, ranging from 9-66 ¾ to 9-86 ¾.

Live Cattle for Aug were dn $.47 ½, closing at 134.92 ½. Aug Feeder Cattle were Dn $2.55 to finish the day at 176.35. Aug Class III milk was Dn $.20 to settle at 20.16.
