This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Wednesday. Feeder Cattle shot up yesterday as traders continue to keep an eye on the heat wave moving through the Midwest. Let’s go to Terry Roggensack with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day Dn 42 ¼ to finish at 8-14 ¼. Dec. Corn was down 42 ½, to finish the day at 5-86 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were Dn 47 ½, to settle at 8-67 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was UNCH, ranging from 9-30 to 10-25. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Sept. were Dn 5 to UNCH, ranging from 9-25 to 9-75. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Sept. were Dn 47 ½, ranging from 9-62 3/4 to 9-82 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Sept. were Dn 45-00, ranging from 9-78 ¾ to 9-98 ¾.

Live Cattle for Aug were Up $ .52 ½, closing at 136.67 ½. Aug Feeder Cattle were Up $4.70 to finish the day at 179.57 ½. Aug Class III milk was Dn $.44 to settle at 21.26.
