With your Southeast Regional Ag News, I am Haylie Shipp. This is the Ag Information Network.

In agriculture, we’re always learning. Is there a better way to do this? A quicker way? A smarter way? Is there a way we can save more money or make more money?

But I don’t think it’s exactly in your timeline to head off and take too many classes. We’re busy. That is when webinars can really help. And the Social Health Institute is now offering a sustainable cotton webinar series. Mary Griffith is an extension specialist with the Institute…

“We’re speaking directly about how to improve the health of soil working within a cotton production system. The series includes presentations from soil scientists, agronomists, and other research-based perspectives. But we also have a farmer showcase that allows us to connect with practical information about how to actually incorporate some of those management practices and what the big wins were for different farmers. What motivates them to try and improve the health of their soil but also what some of the challenges are and, in their experience, what types of things have worked to get around some of those challenges.”

Again, Mary Griffith with the Soil Health Institute. That series is now available online. You can head to their website - www.soilhealthinstitute.org - and then click on the “resources” tab at the top.
