This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Cash trade in the beef market has traders concerned as demand issues surface. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day Dn 6, to finish at 9-30. Sept. Corn was Dn 5 ¾, to finish the day at 6-64. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were Up 1, to settle at 9-91 ¼.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch, ranging from 10-40 to 10-95. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Sept. were Unch, ranging from 10-40 to 10-50. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Sept. were Up 1, ranging from 10-76 ¼ to 11-06 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Sept. were Dn 12 ¼, ranging from 10-88 ½ to 11-23 ½.

Live Cattle for Aug were Dn $.55, closing at 132.17 ½. Aug Feeder Cattle were Dn $1.10 to finish the day at 170.72 ½. Aug Class III milk was Up $.17 to settle at 23.33.
