This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Feeder Cattle take advantage of a weaker grain market. Larry Shover with the CME Group to explain more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for July closed the day Dn 46 ¼, to finish at 10-41 ¼. July Corn was Dn 22 ¼, to finish the day at 7-31 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for July were Dn 37 ¼, to settle at 11-28 ¼.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch to Dn 45, ranging from 11-00 to 11-85. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for July were Dn 05- 45, ranging from 10-95 to 11-35. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Aug. were Dn 26 ¾ - 36 ¾, ranging from 12-20 ¼ to 12-55 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Aug. were Dn 40 ¼ - 50 ¼, ranging from 12-67 ¼ to 12-97 ¼.

Live Cattle for Aug were Up $2.52 ½, closing at 132.90. Aug Feeder Cattle were Up $4.60, to finish the day at 169.72 ½. June Class III milk was Dn $.12 to settle at 24.45.
