Feeders Bounce Back
This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Tuesday. Even with feed prices climbing, the beef market found a way to move higher yesterday. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.
Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for July closed the day Up 21 ¼, to finish at 11-90. July Corn was up 7 ½, to finish the day at 7-86 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for July were Up 23 ¾, to settle at 12-76 ½.
Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch- Dn 20, ranging from 11-00 to 12-30. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for July were Unch- Dn 20, ranging from 11-00 to 11-80. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for July were Up 23 ¾, ranging from 13-55 ½ to 14-00 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for July were Up 18 ¾ - 19 ½, ranging from 13-57 ½ to 13-98 ½.
Live Cattle for Aug were Up $1.42 ½, closing at 132.97 ½. Aug Feeder Cattle were Up $1.70 to finish the day at 165.62 ½. June Class III milk was dn $.01 to settle at 24.47.
