This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Cattle cooled off towards the end of the week, battling higher feed prices and demand. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for May closed the day dn 21 ½, to finish at 9-84 ½. May Corn was dn 13 ¾, to finish the day at 7-35. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for May were dn 16 ¾, to settle at 10-13 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were up 50-Unch, ranging from 10-75 to 12-25. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for June were up 50-Unch, ranging from 10-75 to 11-00. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for June were dn 16, ranging from 11-13 ¾ to 11-33 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were dn 11 ½, ranging from 11-45 ¼ to 11-85 ¼.

Live Cattle for June were dn $1.27 ½, closing at 135.85. May Feeder Cattle were dn $.42 ½ to finish the day at 166.12 ½. May Class III milk was up $.08 to settle at 24.55.
