First Urban Agriculture Meeting and AFBF Calls for Biofuel Production

**The USDA will host the first public meeting of the inaugural Federal Advisory Committee for Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production March 23-25.
The Zoom meeting is open to the public, and urban producers are encouraged to attend.
The meeting is on March 23 and 24 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

**American Farm Bureau Federation Executive Vice President Dale Moore is planning to retire this year, bringing a four-decade career as an ag leader in Washington, D.C., and elsewhere to a close.
Farm Bureau President Zippy Duvall says, “Dale has been a tireless advocate on behalf of farmers and ranchers throughout his career.”
Moore spent over 40 years championing agriculture through work on Capitol Hill, at USDA, and the private sector.
**In other Farm Bureau news, President Duvall is calling on the President to take the necessary steps to address high energy costs impacting Americans.
According to www.agrimarketing.com, AFBF is asking the administration to remove barriers to domestic energy production including the increased production of biofuels, which have reduced America's dependence on foreign crude oil.
Duvall says, increased biofuel use and domestic energy
production will enhance U.S. security and independence while supporting America's farmers and rural economies.
