U.S. Tractor and Combine Sales Up in 2021

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," the sale of all tractors during December in the U.S. were even with the same month last year.

Agri Marketing magazine reports that for the twelve months in 2021, a total of 317,897 tractors were sold which compares to 288,187 sold thru December 2020 representing a 10% increase year to date.

For the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 3% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 3%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 30%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were up 29%.

For the twelve months, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are up 9% over last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are up 10%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are up 24%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 18%.

Combine sales were up 35% for the month. Sales of combines for the twelve months totaled 6,272 an increase of 25% over the same period in 2020.
