This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Friday. Drier than normal weather in South America develops more buying opportunity, as they have seen far less rain than normal this season. Let’s go to Terry Roggensack with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day dn 17 ¾, to finish at 7-76 ¾. March Corn was up 4 ½, to close at 5-91 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for March were dn 15 ½, to settle at 7-96 ½.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were up 15 to Unch, ranging from 10-80 to 14-00. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Jan. were up 10 to Unch, ranging from 10-75 to 11-50. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Jan. were dn 15 ½, ranging from 9-61 ½ to 9-91 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Jan. were dn 13, ranging from 11-22 ¼ to 11-37 ¼.

Live Cattle for Feb. were dn $.87 ½, closing at 137.80. Jan. Feeder cattle were up $.67 ½, to finish the day at 164.07 ½. Jan. Class III milk was up $.04 to settle at 19.82.
