This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Cattle cooled off to finish the week, but overall the market held steady. Here’s Greg Sanders with the USDA to hear the weekly cattle update.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day dn 11 ¼, to finish at 8-03 ¾. March Corn was up 7 ¼, to close at 5-84. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for March were dn 18, to settle at 8-24 ¼.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 10-65 to 14-00. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Jan. were Unch, ranging from 10-65 to 11-50. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Jan. were dn 18, ranging from 9-89 ¼ to 10-19 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Jan. were dn 21 ½, ranging from 11-20 ¾ to 11-35 ¾.

Live Cattle for Feb. were dn $.62 ½, closing at 138.95. Jan. Feeder cattle were dn $1.65, to finish the day at 164.12 ½. Jan. Class III milk was up $.48 to settle at 18.77.
