Rising Production Prices
This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Wednesday. Producers continue to keep an eye on rising prices of production and fertilizer which could leave a lasting impact. Let’s go to Terry Roggensack with the CME Group to hear more.
Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day dn 7 ¼, to finish at 7-52 ¼. Dec. Corn was up 5 ½, to close at 5-52 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. were dn ½, to settle at 7-77 ¼.
Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were dn 25to Unch, ranging from 10-25 to 13-75. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Dec. were Dn 25 to Unch ranging from 10-25 to 11-25. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Dec. were dn ½, ranging from 9-27 ¼ to 9-57 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Dec. were dn ¾ to 5 ½, ranging from 11-37 ¼ to 11-61 ½.
Live Cattle for Dec. were up $1.92 ½, closing at 131.45. Jan. Feeder cattle were up $2.02 ½, to finish the day at 160.60. Dec. Class III milk was dn $.54 to settle at 18.60.
