Cattle Bounce Back
This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Cattle closed the week with better cash trade, giving the market a well-received boost. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.
Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day up 9 ¼, to finish at 7-34. Dec. Corn was up 9, to close at 5-25 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. were up 12 ¾, to settle at 7-43 ¾.
Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 9-75 to 13-25. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Nov. were Unch ranging from 9-75 to 10-75. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Nov. were up 12 ¾, ranging from 8-93 ¾ to 9-18 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Nov. were up 8 ¾, ranging from 10-93 ¾ to 11-08 ¾.
Live Cattle for Dec. were up $.67 ½, closing at 130.97 ½. Jan. Feeder cattle were dn $.82 ½, to finish the day at 161.52 ½. Nov. Class III milk was dn $.08 to settle at 19.28.
