In Georgia, cotton, peanut, and soybean harvest were all delayed due to rainy weather. Some peanuts that were dug up were reported to be underwater. Soybean rust was noted in some areas. Livestock and pastures remained in good condition.

Alabama’s rainfall limited fieldwork in some areas. Crops remained in relatively good condition and harvest activities continued as weather permitted. Cotton bolls continued to open, and most farmers have begun defoliation. Some Soybean fields are showing soybean rust. Peanut digging picked up after rain delay. Livestock and Pastures Cattle and pasture remained in mostly good condition

Continued wet weather in Florida slowed harvesting activities, especially in the soggy Panhandle area. Next season’s orange and grapefruit crops progressing well. Pastures and cattle remained in good to excellent condition.
