Beef Find Rally

This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Tuesday. The Beef market catches a break as cattle welcome a nice rally to kick off the week. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day up 1 ¼, to finish at 7-56 ½. Dec. Corn was dn ¾, to close at 5-40 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. were dn 5 ¼, to settle at 7-54 ¼.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 9-75 to 12-60. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein for Nov. were Unch, ranging from 9-75 to 10-37. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Nov. were dn 5 ¼, ranging from 9-04 ¼ to 9-29 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Nov. had a mixed market dn 13 ¾ and up 1 ¼, ranging from 10-55 ¼ to 10-72 ¼.

Live Cattle for Dec. were up $2.85, closing at 128.05. Nov. Feeder cattle were up $2.12 ½, to finish the day at 155.02 ½. Nov. Class III milk was up $.22 to settle at 18.42.
