This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Friday. Crop conditions can play a key role in markets and the corn industry seeing that firsthand. Let’s go to Terry Roggensack with the CME Group to hear how these compare to previous years.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day dn 8 ½, to finish at 7-42 ¾. Dec. Corn was dn 14 ¼, to close at 5-50 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were dn 8 ½, to settle at 7-28 ¼.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch to up 15, ranging from 10-00 to 12-25. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein for Oct. was Unch to up 15, ranging from 9-80 to 10-54. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Oct. were dn 8 ½, ranging from 8-53 ¼ to 8-88 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Oct. were dn 6 ½, ranging from 10-34 ½ to 10-49 ½.

Live Cattle for Oct. were dn $.90, closing at 128.10. Sept. Feeder cattle were dn $.45, to finish the day at 162.90. Sept. Class III milk was dn $.02, to settle at 17.11.
